A Fairhope, Alabama Engagement Session| Audrey & Eric

In January, I decided I wanted to find a way to give to my community. I wanted to offer an opportunity for a couple to win a free engagement session. I wanted the giveaway to be different. Everyone gets tired of the typical- like the post, like the page, share the post, tag a friend giveaways. They are all over the place. I really wanted a way to connect to my participants. I wanted to hear their stories and see the community they had to support their future marriages. So, I decided to offer an opportunity for people to rally their support systems together. They posted their stories and rallied their friends and family together to help them by liking their comment with their story. There were three finalist and after hearing all their stories I couldn’t wait to meet them and get to know them. Let me tell you about my first couples Fairhope, Alabama engagement session.
The first couple I met with were Eric and Audrey. We met for an hour at a local coffee shop and I got to hear more of their story and their life. From the moment that I met Eric and Audrey, it was very clear that while they love each other they are both so devoted to their 5 kids. Besides God, their kids are the most important thing in their life.
The engagement session…
Eric and Audrey love the beach. They chose to meet me for their session at Stedman’s Landing off Sibley Street in Fairhope, Alabama. This place is a hidden gem of the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. The hurricane wiped out the old path and they recently renovated the board walk to Mobile Bay.
We wanted a family photo since Eric & Audrey are so family oriented. They came armed with their crew! Their kids are all precious and their personalities are all so sweet. Their daughter was so chatty. I loved how proud she was of all of her brothers and you could tell how much she loves her dad and Mama Audrey.
Once we grabbed the family photo by the bay, Eric, Audrey and I set off on our adventure. We grabbed a few frames on the beach and then headed back up the boardwalk stopping along the way. They were great! I love when my couples are so in love that they pose themselves. The way that Eric looks at Audrey and the way he touches her hair! You can tell that he is head over heels for his future wife.
For with God nothing shall be impossible.
Engagement sessions are so important to me. They give me an opportunity to get my couples in front of the camera without the stress of a wedding day. They allow me the opportunity to capture them just being themselves and for us to get comfortable with each other. My favorite moments are catching the way they gaze into each others eye, hold hands, and the small ways that they show affection to display their love for each other.
Eric & Audrey- Thank you for the opportunity to get to know y’all. Couples like y’all are the reason why I love my job.
