A Orange Beach, Alabama Beach Wedding | May 12 ,2018
Katie & Jesse | Orange Beach, Alabama Beach Wedding | May 12 , 2018
My first wedding of the season was an Orange Beach, Alabama beach wedding. I really love the simplicity of the beach wedding. Baldwin County, Alabama has an amazing coast line with beautiful white sand beaches, emerald waters (most of the time) and some stunning sunsets! It really is the perfect setting for a wedding. Katie and Jesse’s beach wedding was exactly this: simple, perfect weather, beautiful sunset and most importantly, a stunning bride and groom!
Details & Getting Ready…
I arrived a half hour before the wedding to grab a few detail and getting ready photos of Katie. Every detail of their day was simply stunning. The ring box was an antique wooden box with intricate carving. Katie stuffed the box with an piece of embroidery that her grandmother sewed by hand. The bouquets were all make of traditional ivory and pink roses with succulents as accents.
The groom wore a traditional khaki suit and the bridesmaids wore navy, floor length gowns. The ring bearer looked absolutely adorable in his khaki pants, white shirt and navy suspenders. While the flower girls had on lace topped dresses with a layered tulle skirt. The backs of their dresses were designed exactly like the back of Katie’s dress. Katie’s dress was AMAZING. The dress was open backed with a full crocheted bodice and a full length skirt. Katie looked absolutely gorgeous in her dress.
Right in line with everything else their ceremony was simple but beautiful. There was a piece of drift wood as the alter and the sound of waves crashing in the background. Katie giggled throughout the ceremony with excitement at marrying her fiance. The officiant, Bev, did an amazing job with their vows. The flower girls played in the sand while the rest of the family watch and witnessed soul mates joining together in marriage.
Bride and Groom Portraits…
My favorite portion of any wedding day is the bride and groom portraits. I really get a chance to spend some time with a bride and groom and watch how comfortable they are together. How he can make her laugh without even trying and how she can make him smile so naturally because they are so in love.
It is also a time during their wedding day when it can be just the two of them (plus me!) and they can talk and remember what all the stress of the day was about: them. Looking back over their bride and groom portraits, it’s easy to see how in love Katie and Jesse are: the way he hold her waste and the way she caresses his face.
Thank you Katie and Jesse for trusting me to document your wedding day. It was truly an honor to witness.
